The Challenge

As Norway’s leading service-focused SaaS, Munu’s smart technology is more than a solution, but a true driver for industry change. Extending beyond FOH operations, they supercharge hospitality systems holistically, making complex problems simple through their suite of specialised products.

A brand renowned for optimising other businesses, Munu challenged us to reshape their own, creating a refreshed visual and verbal identity to communicate their bridging of human motivation and tech innovation more accurately.

A request requiring form and function in equal measure, we needed to enrich their identity whilst overcoming a series of brand implementation issues they’d experienced throughout their expansion.

The Answer

After an intensive brand immersion and strategy workshop at Munu HQ in Stravanger, Norway, we rebranded their proposition under the North Star of ‘productivity champions’.

Redefining Munu’s SaaS as industry-specific tech that works the shift alongside their users, we positioned their offering as the hospitality software that’s ‘at their service’ — acting as an advocate for optimisation and support from restaurant floors to the cloud.

Using a tone that speaks directly to human motivation, we evolved their communication style to engage with intention, creating hospitality-relevant content that embeds the brand in the industry from the inside out.

Simplifying their visual identity was key, leading us to strip back their palette to prioritise their hero blue and develop a limited secondary and semantic colour set.

Using a mix of Fira and Inter fonts, we created a typographic approach that maintained energy without compromising clarity or functional use within their internal technology.

And emblematic of the pace of the industry, our motion and photography prioritised snappy movement and long-exposure formats to ground our visuals in a sense of realism and optimism.

A brand revival that, much like Munu itself, works smarter, not harder to streamline operation, our elevated brand and verbal identity successfully unite Munu’s many propositions and priorities.
