The Challenge

Franco Manca started as a humble Brixton Market pizzeria and grew into a UK-wide institution with 72 locations. As it approached its 42nd opening, the brand needed a digital revamp. One that not only reinforced its "radically simple" ethos but also enhanced its commercial impact.

The pizza landscape had evolved, competition had intensified, and Franco Manca’s own offering had expanded to include delivery, collection, and even supermarket pizzas. With so much change, it was time to refine its brand proposition, reassert its unique appeal, and create a website that spoke to both loyal fans and newcomers.

The Answer

A new website looked to position Franco Manca as so much more than just a pizza restaurant. It celebrated a culture rooted in quality, value, and simplicity and was designed to connect with its breadth of audience seeking either familiarity or something entirely new.

In-restaurant photography and videography highlighted the truly local experience, showcasing Franco Manca’s focus on each community it resided in. The brand’s signature illustrations were complemented with an expanded set, allowing for greater flexibility whilst maintaining their distinct charm.

And a seamless POS integration ensured that each restaurant’s daily specials were displayed in real-time, ensuring the online experience was as personal, dynamic and inviting as the restaurant experience itself.
